Brian has 17 years of high-tech experience at HP and Intuit where his main focus has been to identify new sales growth opportunities, as market needs demand new technologies. With a proven track record specializing in cross-functional team leadership and technology transformations, Brian leveraged his unique blend of business acumen and tech know-how to lead diverse teams and deliver awesome end-to-end customer experiences.
Currently, Brian serves on the Digital Payments Guru of KrowdMentor, a strategic investment and advisory firm empowering blockchain investors, funds, startups and entrepreneurs to reach their goals.
From 2005 to 2017, Brian held various senior management roles at Intuit where his main mission was to bring simple software solutions to life and faster digital payments to market. His last role was as Principal Program Manager for the Digital Payments Division . Originally, he started by optimizing a $100 million digital marketing budget in order to grow TurboTax Online from a nascent business to the dominant market leader with over $1 billion in annual sales. Additionally, he was responsible for developing the web channel for QuickBooks while optimizing a $120 million marketing budget to acquire over one million small business customers in the first 12 months.
From 2000 to 2005, Brian worked at HP where he started as an intern and rose to the position of Senior Financial Analyst for Digital Marketing ROI in the eCommerce Division, optimizing a $70 million marketing budget and driving $620 million in eCommerce sales. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager of HP's $2.3 billion leasing business, which generated $110 million in monthly recurring revenue. He was also responsible in implementing a $650,000 Oracle Database for reselling returned equipment faster while recovering $260 million in residual risk.
Brian has an MBA in Global Management from UCLA and a BS in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science from Pepperdine University. At UCLA, Brian served as fundraising chair for his class section, achieving >60% participation, and as interim CFO for Nevados Engineering, a portfolio company of the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), which has received over $3m in funding to date. At Pepperdine University, Brian served in a number of leadership positions, most notably, as the President of the Honor Society.
